March 21, 1940 - April 7, 2023
Larry Don Kliewer was born March 21, 1940 to Arthur and Josephine Edna (Parker) Kliewer in Fairview Oklahoma and died April 7, 2023 at his home west of Fairview. Larry grew up and attended the Fairview Schools, graduating in 1958. While in school, he was a starting member of the Fairview Football Team.
After high school, Larry married Patricia Irene "Pat" Hoffman on December 19, 1958 at Cedar Springs Church of the Nazarene. After their marriage the couple lived in the Fairview Community, except for two years spent in Kansas (1963 to 1965). This union was soon blessed with two sons, Larry Don Jr. and Danny. Larry was a farmer most of his life; however, he was an entrepreneur in the true sense of the word. While farming he and his brother owned and managed an oil field company called Fairview Power Tongs. He kept the company going through 2 oil booms and declines. Larry later started a second company called Progressive Windows. Building it from the ground up, he made it a very successful company that is still going strong today. Larry was well known in the Fairview Community and was liked by all who knew him. He will be truly missed by his family and friends.
Larry is survived by one son, Danny Kliewer and his wife Kathy of Issabella; three grandchildren, Emily Roxanne Smith, Amy Rae Kliewer and Jeremy Daniel Kliewer; five great grandchildren, and three sisters, Melva Brown, Arthetta Kimmell and Janet Jackson.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Pat, three brothers, one sister and one son, Larry Don Kliewer Jr.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Fairview FFA or the Isabella Nazarene Church with the funeral home acting as custodian.
