Stanley Eugene Janzen

Stanley Eugene Janzen, a blue-eyed boy was born September 19, 1943 at Fairview, Oklahoma, to parents William "Bill" and Marie (Kusch) Janzen. He departed this life on March 27, 2026 at Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Stan grew up on a farm west of Fairview and was the second son of four boys born to the Janzen family. He attended all 12 years of school in Fairview where he graduated with the class of 1961. Stan then attended Southwestern Oklahoma State University and earned an accounting degree in 1965. He then married Sybil Coffey in 1965 and became employed by Kerr-McGee American energy company in Oklahoma City in the accounting department. While employed there he was drafted into the U.S. Army during the Viet Nam War where he served a tour of duty in Korea before being honorably discharged in January of 1968. Stan was later employed with Well-Tech Energy services and Petro Lewis Company. In 1974 Stan married Carolyn Cassidy and they made their home in Oklahoma City. He eventually sold insurance and became involved in farming and raising cattle at Fairview, Oklahoma with his brother Milton. In later years he delivered the newspaper in the Canton and Longdale area and was a board member of the Major County Senior Citizens for many years.

Stan was preceded in death by his parents; one niece, Tena Janzen; Survivors include three brothers, Virgil Janzen and wife Doris, Loren Janzen and wife Ruth and Milton Janzen and wife Dian; aunt Zelpha Robison; nieces and nephews Gary, Janet, Sara, Rachael, Rhonda and Kyle.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, April 2, 2026 at Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Pierce Funeral Home, Fairview, Oklahoma. Visitation will be Wednesday, with the family present from 6-8 p.m. at Pierce Funeral Home. Memorials are suggested to the Major County Senior Citizens with the funeral home serving as custodian at P.O. Box 15, Fairview, OK 73737.
