Funeral services for Paul Freeman Howerton, 81, will be 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, August 14, 2019 at the Cedar Springs Nazarene Church with burial in the Fairview Cemetery in Fairview, Oklahoma. The Reverends Travis Howerton and Arnold Curby will officiate. Arrangements are by Fairview Funeral Home, Inc.
Paul was born at his parent’s home on December 28, 1937 to Loyd Gilbert and Hulda (Pete) Howerton. He passed from this life at his home on Saturday, August 10, 2019 surrounded by family.
He started Howerton Construction in 1963 and later co-founded RPR Builders with his brother in law, Ralph Wilson and cousin, Robert Wieler. Later he partnered with his son Brett and eventually Paul retired to enjoy his cattle. He then handed the reins of the business over to his son Rick who runs it as Lariat Construction. Paul enjoyed cutting firewood and watching his family grow. He was an avid fisherman and hunter. He loved his family, raising cattle, and best friend Abby his dog.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Frances of Longdale, three sons; Brett and his wife Zara Howerton, Rick and his wife Dixene Howerton, Travis and his wife Cindy Howerton all of Longdale, two daughters; Kathleen and husband Ricky Miller of Fairview and Amber and her husband Andrew Schriever of Las Vegas, Nevada, three step children; Gary Thomas and his wife Lori of Longdale, Dale Thomas and his wife Shannon of Edmond and Sherrie Robertson also of Longdale, one sister Judy Laubach of Okeene, sixteen grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Preceding him are his parents, Loyd and Hulda and first wife, Rosalie (Wilson) Howerton.
Memorials can be made to OMRF-Alzheimer Division or division of your choice, with the funeral home acting as custodian of the funds.

Funeral service for Mary Frances Howerton, 72, of Fairview, Oklahoma, will be 2 PM, Saturday, April 3, 2021, at Cedar Springs Church of the Nazarene west of Fairview. Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery. Arrangements by Fairview Funeral Home Inc.
Mary Frances Howerton was born in Itta Bena, Mississippi, on November 25th, 1948 to Thomas Edgar and Clara Mae (Bynum) Dunaway and left this earth for her heavenly home on March 30, 2021, at the Fairview Fellowship Home in Fairview, Oklahoma surrounded by her family.
Frances was the oldest of four daughters, her father was a sharecropper and the girls would help chop and pick cotton in Rosedale, Mississippi. During her first marriage, when her children were young, she moved to Missouri. A few years later, she and the children moved to Oklahoma. On December 30, 1984 she married Paul Freeman Howerton and her family grew. They were happily married until his passing on Saturday, August 10, 2019. She loved shopping and ice cream.
Left to cherish her memory is her children; Gary Thomas and his wife Lori of Longdale, Dale Thomas and his wife Shannon of Edmond and Sherrie Robertson also of Longdale, her step children; Brett and his wife Zara Howerton, Rick and his wife Dixene Howerton, Travis and his wife Cindy Howerton all of Longdale, two daughters; Kathleen and husband Ricky Miller of Fairview and Amber and her husband Andrew Schriever of Las Vegas, Nevada, her sisters; Patricia Ann Gentry, Gloria Gay Gentry, and Gladys Lee McDaniel sixteen grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren.
Frances was preceded by her parents, Thomas and Clara, husband Paul, brother-in-law Travis Gentry and nephew Travis Earl Gentry.
