Kerry Ray Hicks
April 2, 1962 - May 16, 2023
A celebration of life for Kerry Ray Hicks, 61, of Mustang, formerly of Fairview, will start with visitation at the Funeral Home from 11 am to 1 pm, Monday, May 22, 2023, followed with a graveside celebration at the Fairview Cemetery.
Kerry Ray Hicks was born April 2, 1962 in Cushing, Oklahoma, to Benny Ray and Patricia Loyce (Shaw) Hicks and passed away in Oklahoma City, OK on May 16, 2023 with his family by his side.
Kerry grew up in the Fairview and Isabella area attending grade school in Fairview, then attending Progressive School and completing his education in Fairview when he graduated from Fairview High School in 1980. After High School he joined the United States Army for one year and then transferred to the Army Reserves. When he returned to Oklahoma, he went to work in the oil and gas industry. For a short time, he worked for the radio station in Enid as a DJ. He also attended EMT school and worked as a paramedic for the next two years. Then he went to driving trucks cross country which is wat he did most of his adult life.
Kerry married Stacie Davidson on May 11, 2012 in the Life Church in Yukon, Oklahoma. Not only did he gain a wife, but he also gained three children, son Josh and daughters Alisha and Rachael.
He had many hobbies during his life, but Kerry loved to fish and spent as much time as he could fishing. He also loved collecting rocks, and working with wood and later in life he got interested in smoking different types if meat.
Kerry is survived by his wife Stacie, his mother Patricia Hicks, son Josh Trail, daughters Alisha Brown and Rachael Raley, sister Chandra (Hicks) Robertson, one niece Victoria Pierce, one nephew Tanner Robertson, 10 grandchildren; Jonah Trail, Caitlyn Trail, Addison Brown, Aage Brown, Arie Brown, Tyler Raley, Abree Raley, Lexi Porter, Lillie Raley, Ryder Raley, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his father, and his older brother Kenny.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to Kerry Hicks Memorial with the funeral home acting as custodians of the funds.
