Millie Virginia Hamilton
December 27, 1941 - May 9, 2023

A celebration of life for Millie Virginia (Harmon) Hamilton, 81, of Fairview, OK., will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, May 10, 2023 at the Fairview Cemetery, Fairview, Oklahoma. Arrangements are by Fairview Funeral Home, Inc.

Millie Virginia Hamilton was born December 27, 1941 in Walters Oklahoma to John Robert and Ester Cleo (Adair) Harmon and passed away peacefully on May 9th, 2023 at the Fairview Fellowship Home in Fairview, Oklahoma with her daughter by her side. Her mother passed away when Millie was only 12 years old from a long battle of 6 years with breast cancer. Millie was then raised by her grandparents until her father returned when she was 17.

She married Clarence Lee Morgan June 19, 1961 and to this union was born their daughter, Virginia Lee, April 1, 1962. They were married 16 years. She then married her soul mate Jerry Hamilton October 7, 1985 and they remained soul mates until his death on September 6, 2016.

Millie was imaginative, as she raised her only child. She taught her to play Solitaire and Rummy, how to mix flour and water to make paste and using newspaper to make Jack-o'-lanterns. A later inspiration for paper made Jack-o'-lanterns made in Perk, making doll clothing from rags and fudge from syrup and sugar even if she made the syrup herself.

Millie cared for injured wildlife even sew up rabbits and care for them until they could live on their own. She was an avid reader sometimes reading 3 books a day. She loved Westerns and anything set in the WWII era. She loved cook books, even though she didn't like to cook. She loved her Fellowship Home family who all knew not to bend over in front of her or get "Spanked".

She was preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by one daughter Virginia L. Harrison and her husband Berlin and one granddaughter Kira Dawn Bryant and husband Craig.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to OMRF - Breast Cancer Division with the funeral home acting as custodians of the funds.
