A graveside memorial service is scheduled for October 19, 2018 at 11 AM in the Fairview Cemetery with Pastor Marlin Hiett officiating. Cremation arrangements under the direction of Fairview Funeral Home Inc.
Elizabeth “Sue” Dague Graham, 86, passed away peacefully Friday, July 27, 2018 in Fairview, Oklahoma. Sue was born December 9, 1931 in Enid, OK to Michael Leroy and Fern Almeda (Blair) Dague. She was a 1949 graduate of Fairview High School and a Football Homecoming Queen. Sue married J. C. “Jake” Graham on December 27, 1948 in Fairview and was a member of the Mennonite Brethren Church. Sue enjoyed the Mother’s Club and various bridge clubs in the community. She was dedicated to supporting their farming/ranching business and was a talented cook, a wonderful homemaker and a loving mother to her son and daughter. One of the highlights in her life was helping her son Stephen (Steve) with his show animals and ultimately winning the 1966 Grand Champion Steer title at the Tulsa State Fair. Sue was especially close to her father, Mike Dague, a prominent, well-loved businessman in Fairview and her sister, Mary Lois Thompson.
Sue was preceded in death by her husband J.C., her sister Mary Lois, her son Stephen Graham, and a granddaughter Sarah Whitney Thurman.
Survivors include her daughter Suzanne Thurman and her husband, Dale, daughter-in-law Jana Graham, five grandsons, 1 great grandson, and numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Fairview Fellowship Home with the Fairview Funeral Home acting as custodian of the funds.
