David Arthur Frech
September 28, 1959 - September 18, 2024
Funeral services for David Arthur Frech, 64, of Fairview, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, September 24, 2024, at the Major County Fair Building. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery. Arrangements are by Fairview Funeral Home, Inc.
David Arthur Frech was born in Okeene, Oklahoma on September 28, 1959 to Dennis Leon and Janis Louise Frech and passed away at the Oklahoma University Medical Center in Oklahoma City on Wednesday, September 18, 2024 surrounded by his family. He grew up in many places but mostly west of Fairview. He graduated from the Helena - Goltry High School with the Class of 1978. After graduation, he went to work on the Parker Family Farm and Ranch and continued working there his whole life. David married the love of his life, Ronda Kay Bowers, on August 3, 1979 at the Cedar Springs Church of the Nazarene.
David was always very active in the community. He worked for the Major County Rural Water and as a blade hand and truck driver for Major County District 3. David was on the Major County Fair Board for more than 30 years and was a driving force on the design and construction of the new fair building after the old one was condemned. He also received an Honorary FFA degree and was a board member for the Major County Historical Society. David was a member of the Cedar Springs Church of the Nazarene and a board member for more than 30 years. David was loving and kind man who will be missed by his many friends and family.
David is survived by his wife Ronda of 45 years, his mother Janis Louise and her husband Roy Givens, three children, Darinda Michelle Frech, Drew Arthur and McKenzee Frech, and Darin Leon and Jessica Frech all of Fairview, six grandchildren, Keegen and Alee McKee, Mac Frech, Paicee Frech, Sutton Frech, and Devri Frech with one great grandson on the way. He is also survived by his three brothers Dale Frech and Karen, Don and Katryna Frech and Mike and Loretta Ryel, and two sisters, Connie and James Randall and Laneta and Brian Schwerdtfeger, and numerous nephews and nieces that loved him.
He was preceded in death by his father Dennis, and two sisters, Theta Bisel and Shannon Koehn and his grandparents.
Memorials can be made to the Cedar Springs Nazarene Church with the funeral home acting as custodian.
