Marsha Ann Childers was born December 31, 1953 in Lynwood, CA to Walter and Marion (Mollett) Benson. As a young girl, Marsha was raised by her mom and grandma. Her mom would take her by trolley car to Huntington Park to play and as a treat to Uncle Ned's eatery for tomato soup and grilled cheese sandwiches. Following their simple meal, they would go window shopping. She was always dressed to the 9's, white gloves, patent leather shoes, purse and little hat. This is where she learned how to dress and began to develop her beautiful character. Being an animal lover, she considered her cats as her "kids" in fur coats. Marsha worked in the medical field as a medical receptionist for JPMC and other medical groups. Throughout her battle with cancer, she never lost her smile or compassion for others, always keeping a positive attitude. Family and friends were very important to her. She loved her fellow cancer patients and called them her "Chemo Sabes". Marsha never complained or asked, "why me?" Marsha was an avid cook and spent many hours in her kitchen developing new and exciting ways to prepare dishes. She felt that a good home cooked meal started with love. Marsha could always be found with a smile and a QT cup in her hand.

Marsha is survived by her husband Pete Childers of the home.

She was preceded in death by her mother Marion Mollett and son Tommy at the age of 3. Marsha was loved by her many friends and family. Our loss is Heaven's gain. She will be greatly missed. We loved our "Sumer Breeez".

Online condolences for the family can be left at www.walkerbrownfuneralhome.com.
