A graveside service for Richard Lee Broomfield, 72, will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday, April 24, 2004, at the Fairview Cemetery at Fairview, Okla., with the Rev. Rich Redinger officiating.

Richard was born August 9, 1941 on the family farm near Ames to Eldon Dean and Lillie Dale (Canaday) Broomfield and passed away Tuesday, April 20, 2004 at the Fairview Hospital.

Survivors include his wife Virginia "Ginger" Perkins Blair Broomfield of the home; two sons, Shannon and his wife Tracy Broomfield of Enid, and Timmy Allen Broomfield of Helena; one daughter, Pam and her husband John Fiscus of Waynoka; and two step-daughters: Terrie Blair Shields and Jesse Mae Blair, both of Fairview; three brothers: Virgil Dean and wife Laurie Broomfield of Galena, Mo., Gerald and his wife Leedy of Benton, La., and r.J. and Xollia Broomfield of Canton; four sisters: Vada Mae and her husband Bud Helm of LaMesa, Calif., Verda Belle and her husband Larry Weibel of Big Sandy, Tenn., Wynona and her husband Jim Amsey of Shawnee, and Carol Ann and her husband, Don Anderson of Ringwood; fifteen grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, Yolanda Renea Broomfield, one son, Galen Lee Broomfield, and two stepsons, Kelly Knox and Donnie Blair, and one son-in-law David Shields.

Graveside Services for Virginia “Ginger” Mae Broomfield, 79, of Fairview will be held at a later date. Cremation arrangements are by Fairview Funeral Home, Inc.

Virginia “Ginger” Mae Broomfield was born June 20, 1940 in Fairview, Oklahoma to Troy Gerden and Bertha Verle (Sheffield) Perkins and passed away Saturday morning, December 21, 2019 in the Fairview Fellowship Home in Fairview, Oklahoma.

Ginger grew up in the Fairview area and in September 1955 at the young age of 15, she married Donald Bruce Blair. Bruce was in the United States Navy and they spent a lot of their time in California. They were blessed with two daughters, Terrie and Jesse Mae Blair and on son Donald Bruce Blair II. The couple was divorced in 1970 and Ginger returned to Oklahoma. Ginger worked as a Certification Medical Assistant, CMA, at the Fairview Fellowship Home for many years and raised her children, Ginger met Richard Lee Broomfield and they were married on December 31, 1985 in Dover, Oklahoma and lived in Fairview. Ginger and Richard loved the outdoors and spending time with their family and taking their grandchildren camping, fishing and swimming. She also loved cooking and baking as well as Casino trips.

Survivors include her two daughters; Terrie Blair Shields and her son David and Jesse Mae Blair and her daughter Callie, and her late son Donnie’s children Dagan and Dane, her sister Anita Verle Williams, and many great grandchildren.

Ginger was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, one sister, and her son Donald Bruce Blair II.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the OMRF Cancer Division with Fairview Funeral Home, Inc. acting as custodian.
