The funeral for Margaret Esther Braley, 85, of Fairview, will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Fairview First United Methodist Church. The Rev. Richert Redinger will officiate. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. Arrangements are by Fairview Funeral Home Inc. Registery may be signed from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. today at the funeral home.
She was born Nov. 24, 1921, in Thomas to Harrison and Allie Bell Altman Rigsby and died Saturday, Oct. 6, 2007, at Fairview Fellowship Home Village Apartments.
She grew up and attended school in Thomas.
She married James Humphrey Braley May 24, 1941, in Thomas. They made their home in El Reno and later moved to the Braley family farm east of Fairview. After farming for several years, they moved into Fairview. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women and Keenagers and was an avid bridge player.
Surviving are one son, James R. Braley of Enid; one daughter, Patricia Hight of Oklahoma City; two brothers, Bud Rigsby of Miami and Harold Rigsby of Fairview; seven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jim, three brothers and one sister.
Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation, heart division.
