Funeral Services for Harold Lee Penner, 81, of Fairview, will be 1:30 p.m., Saturday, August 7, 2021 at the Fairview Mennonite Brethren Church. The Reverend Scott Ware will officiate. Burial at the Church of God Cemetery. Arrangements by Fairview Funeral Home, Inc.
Harold Lee Penner was born March 23, 1940 northwest of Fairview on the family farm to Edward A. and Florence Vera (Kiefer) Penner and died July 31, 2021 at his home northwest of Fairview. Oklahoma.
Harold attended Roscoe School to the 8th grade, then Fairview High School graduating in 1958. Following graduation, he went to work with his father as a painter, indoor and outdoor home remodeling, and working on the farm. After working with his dad for 3 years, Harold joined the Army Reserves and was gone for 6 months. He returned home and continued working. On July 6th, 1963, Harold married Uralena “Gay” Linfoot and they started their life together. The couple was blessed with two children, Sonda Lynn Penner and Scott Douglas Penner.
Harold was a farmer/rancher all his life. He loved fishing, and hunting. He played the Ukulele and carved wood airplanes.
Harold was a gentle and kind man, who took care of his parents and always helped his wife by opening the car doors. Harold was liked and will be missed.
Harold was preceded in death by his parents and one sister Betty Cottom.
He leaves his wife Gay Penner of 58 years, daughter Sonda Lynn Penner, son Scott Douglas Penner and wife Lori, two grandchildren, Kacie and Logan Penner, one sister Shirley Hardin and husband Ben, Uncle Dan Penner, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Church of God Cemetery with Fairview Funeral Home Inc. acting as custodian.
