April 23, 1944 - September 22, 2021

Graveside services for Uralena "Gay" Penner, 77, will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, September 25, 2021 at the Church of God Cemetery, Fairview, Oklahoma. Arrangements are by Fairview Funeral Home, Inc.

Viewing at the Fairview Funeral Home Inc. will be Friday, September 24, from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m..

Gay was born April 23, 1944 in Cherokee, Oklahoma to Dewey Overton and Ruby (Jantz) Linfoot and passed from this life on September 22, 2021 after a long battle with Covid. She attended Cherokee schools from 1st to 9th grades, and then the family moved to Fairview. She finished high school in Fairview and graduated in 1962. After she graduated, she continued her education and was certified as a C.M.A. and C.N.A. and worked for the Fairview Fellowship Home.

On July 6th, 1963, Gay married Harold Lee Penner and they started their life together. The couple was blessed with two children, Sonda Lynn Penner and Scott Douglas Penner.

Gay's hobbies were cooking, baking, reading, and she really enjoyed sewing. She was a church pianist for around 40 years. Gay was a loving and sweet person that will truly be missed.

Gay was preceded in death by her parents and husband Harold Penner.

She leaves her daughter Sonda Lynn Penner, son Scott Douglas Penner and wife Lori, two grandchildren, Kacie and Logan Penner, one sister Joy Ware and husband Scott, and brother Grady and wife Joyce Linfoot, sister-in-law Shirley Hardin and husband Ben, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Church of God Cemetery or the charity of your choice with Fairview Funeral Home Inc. acting as custodian.
