Isabella – The funeral for Jacob Unruh, 74, will be at 10:30 AM Saturday at the Church of God in Christ Mennonite, southeast of Fairview. Myron Nightingale and Randy Levings will officiate. Burial will be in Cedar Cemetery under direction of Kenny Lanman Funeral Home, Helena.
The casket will be open at the funeral home from 9 AM to 8 PM today; 9 AM until 4 PM Friday; then, at the church from 5:30 to 8:30 Friday.
He was born November 22, 1919, in Montezuma, Kansas, to Benjamin and Eva Unruh and died Wednesday, April 20, 1994, at St. Mary's Hospital in Enid. He attended grade school at Montezuma.
On June 10, 1948, he married Alda Schmidt at Cimarron, Kansas. They moved to Oklahoma in 1975. He was a farmer, dairyman and custom harvester. During World War I I, he served with the United States Army. He was a member of the Church of God in Christ Mennonite.
Surviving are his wife; three sons, Jim of Okeene, Jerry and Jessie, both of Ringwood; two daughters, Joyce Unruh of Wichita, Kansas, and Judy Nightingale of Isabella; one brother, John of Colorado Springs, Colorado; five sisters, Marie Garton of Denver, Colorado, Susanna Jones, Agnes Unruh and Evalena Schmidt, all of Montezuma, and Amanda Brown of Rio Vista, California; and nine grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.
Memorials may be made through the funeral home to the church.

Moundridge, KS — Jane Unruh, 86, died Wednesday, Aug. 24, 2011, at Moundridge Manor. She was born May 1, 1925, in Montezuma, Kan., to Emas T. and Cora Nightingale Schmidt. She was a homemaker.
She married Jacob Unruh June 10, 1948, in Cimarron, Kan. He died April 20, 1994.
Survivors include sons, Jim (Beverly) Unruh, Isabella , Okla., Jerry (Tammie) Unruh, Ringwood, Okla., and Jesse Unruh, Hobbs, N.M.; daughters, Joyce Coverdill, Fairview, Okla., and Judy (Steve) Nightingale, Isabella , Okla.; 12 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren; brothers, Jake Schmidt, Fairview, Okla., Lee Roy Schmidt, Paris, Texas, and Lincoln Schmidt, Bloomfield, Iowa; sisters, Mabel Trammell, Fairview, Okla., Lorena McClain, Isabella , Okla., and Evelyn Schmidt, Paris, Texas.
Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, Aug. 29, 2011, at Fairview Mennonite Church, Isabella , Okla. Visitation will be 7-8 p.m. Sunday at the church. Burial will be in Cedar Cemetery , Isabella , Okla.
Memorial donations may be given to Moundridge Manor, in care of the Moundridge Funeral Home, P.O. Box 410, Moundridge, KS 67107.
