Funeral Services for Ruby Jane Koehn, 74, of Fairview, will be 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, January 10, 2007 at the First Church of the Nazarene in Fairview, Oklahoma. The Reverend Charles McKinney will officiate. Burial will follow in the Cedar Cemetery. Arrangements are by Fairview Funeral Home, Inc.
Viewing will be from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 9th at the funeral home; and at the church prior to the service on Wednesday.
Ruby Jane (Nightengale) Koehn was born January 1, 1933 in Texline, Texas to John and Eva (Wedel) Nightengale and passed away January 7, 2007 at the Fairview Regional Medical Center in Fairview, Oklahoma. Ruby moved to Isabella, Oklahoma, with her family, in the late 1930s. She attended Isabella school, completing the 9th grade. Ruby married Dean “Richard” Koehn on March 26, 1951 in Enid, Oklahoma. Richard joined the United States Army. Following his honorable discharge, they moved to Montezuma, Kansas. In 1962 Ruby, Richard, and their children returned to Fairview. She was a loving wife and mother and devoted herself to the care of her family. Ruby prided herself on how well she kept her house, always very, very clean. Her hobbies were cooking, sewing and traveling. She hand sewed quilts for all of the grandchildren and made pepper-nuts every year. She was a member of the Fairview First Church of the Nazarene.
Ruby is survived by her husband Richard, of Fairview; one son, Michael Koehn and wife Melinda of Cleo Springs, Oklahoma; two daughters, Janice Ferrall and husband Billy of Cleo Springs, Kerri Jackson and husband Rick of Ringwood, Oklahoma; five brothers, Paul Nightengale and wife Mildred of Ringwood, John Nightengale and wife Carol of Cleo Springs; Floyd Nightengale and wife Carolyn of Fairview, Roger Nightengale and wife Lori of Ringwood, Andrew Nightengale and wife Paula of Enid; six sisters, Vivian Schmidt of Fairview, Waunita Koehn of Okeene, Anna May Schmidt and husband Joe of Ringwood, Jewel Wedel and husband Glenn of Ringwood, Shirlene Koehn of Kentucky, Laurita Koehn and husband Victor of Fairview; seven grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two infant siblings and two brothers, Raymond and Melvin; and one sister, Pauline..
Memorial contributions may be made to the Fairview First Church of the Nazarene with the Fairview Funeral Home acting as custodians.

Graveside Services for Dean Richard Koehn, 91, of Fairview, will be 11:00 AM, Wednesday, November 11, 2020 at the Cedar Cemetery, Fairview, Oklahoma. Reverends Dennis King and Ricky Chance will officiate. Arrangements by the Fairview Funeral Home Inc.
Richard was born October 1, 1929 in Fairview, Oklahoma to Ameil and Mabel (Nightingale) Koehn and passed away November 5, 2020 at the Fairview Fellowship Home in Fairview, Oklahoma. He grew up in the Fairview area and attended school to the 8th grade.
In 1951 he was drafted into the United States Army and served during the Korean War as a medic. On March 26, 1951, just before he went to boot camp, he married the love of his life, Ruby Jane Nightengale, in Enid Oklahoma. When he returned from the Army in 1953, Richard and Ruby moved to Copeland, Kansas where he was the manager of a gas station called Doc’s. To this blessed union was born two daughters Janice and Kerri and one son Micheal.
In 1962 they moved back to Fairview and shortly after returning, Richard went to work for Walt Bartel and Don Martens at Waldons. Richard worked in many different positions over the next 41 years until he finally, at the age of 72, retired. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather.
Richard is survived by his daughter Janice Ferrall and husband Billy, son Micheal Koehn and wife Melinda, and daughter Kerri Jackson and husband Rick, six grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, one brother Victor Koehn and wife Rita, sisters Emalee Wedal and husband Victor, and Betty Geibracht and husband Bill, and sister-in-law Margaret Koehn.
He was preceded in death by his parent, his wife Ruby and brother Roland Koehn.
Memorials may be made to the Church of God in Christ, Mennonite, with Fairview Funeral Home, Inc. acting as custodian.
