Lawrence Orville Koehn
November 30, 1925 - February 15, 2016
Funeral service for Lawrence Orville Koehn, 90, of Ringwood, will be 10:30 a.m., Friday, February 19, 2016, at the Fairview Church of God in Christ Mennonite. Burial will follow in the Cedar Cemetery. Arrangements are by Fairview Funeral Home, Inc.
Lawrence was born November 30, 1925 to Nathaniel C. and Linda Anna (Kehn) Koehn in Fairview, Oklahoma and passed away February 15, 2016 at the Fairview Fellowship Home, Fairview, Oklahoma.
Lawrence grew up on the family farm south west of Fairview. He met Alvina Smith and on June 16, 1947 they were married in Newton, Kansas. The first 10 years of their married life was spent in Fairview. In 1956 they moved to Caldwell, Kansas where he worked for COOP for the next 20 years. Alvina and Lawrence were blessed with four sons and one daughter. In 1977, they moved back to Oklahoma, settling in Ringwood.
Lawrence was a faithful attendee of the Church of God in Christ Mennonite church until his health limited his attendance. In January of 2016 he moved to the Fairview Fellowship Home until his death.
Surviving are his sons, Gary Koehn and wife, Robin, Larry Koehn and wife, Jane, numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; two brothers, Claude Koehn and Martin Koehn and one sister, Rosetta Schmidt.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, four brothers, one sister, two sons, one daughter, one grandson and one great-grandson.
