The funeral for Milton M. Greb, 84, of Enid/Waukomis will be 2 p.m. Monday, May 5, 2008, in the Henninger-Allen Funeral Home chapel. David Jones, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in Bierig Cemetery north of Okeene. Visitation with the family will be 4-6 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home chapel.

He was born July 19, 1923, in Okeene to Ezra and Clara Geis Greb and died Thursday, May 1, 2008. He attended Okeene schools.

He served in the Army during World War II. He was with Troop E 5th Calvary in the Asian Pacific Theater 18 months. He received the Asian Pacific Theater Ribbon with Bronze Star, Philippine Liberation Ribbon with Bronze Star, Victory Ribbon Occupation of Japan, and two overseas bars. He was also awarded the Combat Infantryman Badge and Good Conduct Medal. He also served in the military police.

He married Helen Reisig Oct. 16, 1947, in Okeene, where they made their home. He worked in the farming industry.

Surviving are his wife, Helen of the home; five children, Jeff Greb, Gene Greb, Judy Marek, Ginger Pitman and Vicki Cumpston; three sisters, Mae Reames, Betty Unruh and Beverly Kopf; one brother, Verlin Greb; 14 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two sisters and one infant brother.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home to The Commons activity fund.

The funeral for Helen June Greb, 86 year-old Waukomis resident, will be 10 a.m. Saturday, July 26, 2014 in the United Methodist Church in Waukomis. The Rev. Gary Vincent will officiate. Burial will follow in Bierig Cemetery north of Okeene under the direction of Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home.

Helen was born July 20, 1928, in Milwaukee, Wis., to Jacob and Sarah (Bierig) Reisig and died Tuesday, July 22, 2014, in St. Mary’s regional Medical Center. She attended Okeene schools, graduating with the class of 1946. On Oct. 16, 1947, she married Milton Greb in Okeene, where the couple made their home. She was a homemaker and raised five children. She attended the United Methodist Church in Waukomis.

She loved baking, camping and working in her garden.

She is survived by her children; Jeff Greb and wife, Yvonne, Gene Greb and wife, Lynni, Judy Marek, Ginger Pitman and husband, Tony, and Vicki Cumpston and husband, Wally; 10 grandchildren; 11, great-grandchildren; two sisiters, Irene Nusz and Alice Hendricks, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins, and beloved dog, “Corky.”

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Milton, one brother, Victor Reisig, one sister, Shirley Schwartz, and one great-granddaughter, Avery Faith Clutter.

Memorials may be made through Henninger-Hinson to the Waukomis United Methodist Church Food Pantry.
