Harland James Greb
October 30, 1934 - November 10, 2024

Harland James Greb was born on October 30, 1934, on a farm near Isabella, Oklahoma to Henry Greb and Marie Bierig Greb. He died on November 10, 2024 in Okeene, Oklahoma at the Okeene Municipal Hospital. He lived his entire life in the Isabella/Okeene area on the family farm. Harland was a lifelong member of Zion Baptist Church in Okeene where he was baptized at the age of eight years old. He was a rancher, farmer, welder, construction worker, and self-made mechanic. Harland also worked at USG Southard and painted buildings for COOP. Harland enlisted in the Oklahoma National Guard and was active in the Guard for six years.

On June 3, 1955 Harland married Loretta Mae Ensminger in his parents' home near Isabella. They lived on the farm raising cattle, wheat, and hay and the best oats in Oklahoma for many years. Their marriage was blessed with Curtis Ren Greb and Tamara Lanae Greb. Loretta passed away on February 5, 2003.

Harland was a very generous man who never passed up an opportunity to help someone in need. His favorite passion was to help see to it that all people knew about God. He wanted everyone to be able to have a Bible in their language and be able to read about the God he so loved.

Harland is preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Marie Bierig Greb; his wife, Loretta and one great-grandson, Ace Foster.

He is survived by his children: Curtis Greb and wife, Connie of Yale, Oklahoma and Tamara Fischer and husband, David of Isabella, Oklahoma and their children, Jennifer Meier and husband, Chad of Fairview, Oklahoma and children, Rilee of Phoenix, Arizona, Eli and Easton Meier; Emily and John Poe of Isabella, Oklahoma and children, Landon, Luke, and Lindsey and Allison and Chad Foster of Fargo, Oklahoma and children, Alexis and Colt.

Harland adored and loved his children, but especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He never passed up an opportunity to be with family either fishing, eating good food or just hanging out.

Funeral service for Harland will be Thursday, November 14, 2024 at 10:30 a.m. at Zion Baptist Church with burial to follow at Bierig Cemetery.
