A Celebration of Life service for Dorothy R. Geis, age 86, of Okeene, will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday March 26, 2022, in Bierig Cemetery, south of Okeene under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.
Dorothy was born January 20, 1936, in Nash, OK, to Jessie and Mildred (Burt) Ackley and passed away February 23, 2022, in the Garland Road Nursing Center. She was raised in the Nash community where she attended and graduated from Nash High School. She married Taylor Hatfield in 1955 and later married Doug Geis on September 26, 2014, in Miami, OK. Dorothy worked and operated a cafe in Enid. She went to work for George E. Failing as a material clerk until she retired because of medical issues. Dorothy enjoyed fishing and her cat Sam.
Dorothy is survived by her husband Doug of the home, children; Della Rose Morris and Patty Sanchez, sister Roberta (Anne) Frizendahl and husband Bruce, step sons; Brian and Brad Geis, 4 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren, and several other family members.
She was preceded in death by parents and two brothers.
