Ames Cemetery


Funeral services for the Rev. John Morgan was held at 2:00 PM on March 4, 1974 at the Ames High School Auditorium with the Rev. Howard Snell and Rev. Leo Swicegood officiating. Burial followed in Ames Cemetery under the direction of Henninger Allen Funeral Home.

Jonathan Henry Morgan was born in Iowa on September 8, 1901 to Abraham Lincoln and Isabelle Walmur Morgan and passed away on March 1, 1974 at Ames.

He was married to Meda O Crum Morgan and she preceded him in death in 1955. The couple lived in Colorado before moving to Ames.

John was minister of the Assembly of God Church in Ames for many years and was still preaching at the time of his death.

Meda O Crum was born on August 9, 1904, in Missouri, the child of Marshall Milton and Ida belle Crum. Her family moved to Arkansas before settling in Cimarron Oklahoma.

She died on February 5, 1955, in Ames, Oklahoma, at the age of 50, and was buried there.

She was married to Jonathan Henry 'John" Morgan and he survives her. The couple lived in Colorado before moving to Ames.
