September 7, 1931 - December 20, 2022
The graveside service for Norma "Delynn" Munkres, 91 year-old Enid resident, is 2:00PM Thursday, December 29, 2022 in Ames Cemetery. Chaplain Gary Miller officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home.
Delynn was born September 7, 1931 in Canton, OK, to Clarence H. and Mary "Opal" (Troyer) Robinson, and died Tuesday, December 20, 2022 in Greenbrier Long Term Care Home. She graduated from Lacy High School with the class of 1948, and was active in theater, basketball and softball.
On August 1, 1950, she married Lovell Munkres. They made their first home in Drummond. Lovell's teaching career had the family living in various states and cities before retiring and returning in 1987, to Drummond. After raising her own family, Delynn owned and operated a daycare out of her home, and still hears from those families. Delynn and her husband enjoyed the playing cards and gardening. She was an active crafter and a award winning quilter. She was a loving mother and very much enjoyed organizing family gatherings to keep her family in touch and close with other.
Delynn is survived by her three sons, Randy, Craig and Kevin; daughters-in-law, Cherie and Ingrid; grandchildren, Christopher, Dusty and wife, Kendra, and Jody and husband, Curtis Chlouber. Visits with her seven great-grandchildren: Hazel, Josie, Cora, Twyla, Lucy, Kodi and Hayes were especially enjoyable and memorable and the energy they brought and shared was very much appreciated.
Her husband, Lovell; brothers, Leon and Dennis Robinson; sister, Colleen Renshaw and daughter-in-law, Cindy Munkres, preceded her in death.
