March 19, 1953 - November 29, 2019

The Funeral services celebrating and honoring the life of Larry Harris, 66, of Deer Creek, Oklahoma will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday December 06, 2019 in the Brown-Cummings Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Jim Nance officiating. Burial will follow in the Ames Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Brown-Cummings Funeral Home.

He was born March 19, 1953 to Melvin and Elizabeth Martin Harris in Wichita Falls, Texas and passed from this life on November 29, 2019 in Deer Creek, Oklahoma.

He lived in various places growing up, Texas, New Mexico, Blackwell. He then moved to Enid with his family in 1970. He began working as an oilfield truck driver. He was the owner/operator as a long-haul truck driver. On May 12, 2009 he married Norvella Weidner in Las Vegas. He worked until June 27, 2018 when he medically retired. He loved motorcycles, going to the lake, boating, being outside and drinking a cold beer. He enjoyed riding horses and at one time he owned eight. Most of all he loved his family.

He is survived by his wife of the home, Norvella Harris, children, Angi Thomas, and husband John, Christopher Harris, and wife Kari, Jeffrey Harris, and Angela Harris, stepchildren, Amanda Burgin, and husband Justin, Brian Cooper, Larry Nightengale, Stacie McCartney, and husband Ross Jr., eight grandchildren, four great grandchildren, four step grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, five great-great grandchildren and one on the way.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, and two sisters.

Memorials in his name may be made to Hospice of North-central Oklahoma out of Ponca with Brown-Cummings Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
