Celebration of Life and Remembrance service for Leon Dennis, 67, of Enid, Okla., will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 26, 2014, at First United Methodist Church, Enid. The Rev. Randy Mitchell will officiate. Visitation is 5-7 p.m. today, Nov. 25, at Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Ames Cemetery, Ames, Okla. Funeral service is under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.

Leon passed away on Saturday, Nov. 22, 2014, in Enid. Leon was born Oct. 1, 1947, in Enid to parents Max Edward Dennis and Isabell Christina (Walmer) Dennis. Leon was born Oct. 1, 1947, in Enid to parents Max Edward Dennis and Isabell Christina (Walmer) Dennis. He graduated from Drummond High School a member of the class of 1966. After high school, he attended Okmulgee Tech. He owned and operated Leon Dennis Electric for over 30 years. He was an active member of the Powder and String Club of Hennessey, where he held the office of vice president. He enjoyed all forms of outdoor activities. He most enjoyed spending time with his granddaughter, Avery. She loved her grandpa!

Leon was preceded in death by his father, Max Edward Dennis and his wife Karen Kay Dennis.

He is survived by his mother, Isabell Christina Dennis of Enid; long-time companion, Carol Posey of Enid; sister, Coleen Herde of Enid; son, Shawn Dennis of Blanchard, Okla.; son, Max Leon Edward Dennis and wife Melissa of Blanchard, Okla.; son, Earl Martin of Perry, Okla.; son, William Martin of Perry; one granddaughter, Avery Dennis of Blanchard; as well as numerous extended family and friends.

Memorials may be made to Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation, with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
