A funeral service for Bill Davis, 80, of Ames, will be Tuesday, June 28, 2011 at 10 a.m. in the Ames Church of Christ with John Sheffield officiating. Burial will follow in Ames Cemetery under the direction of Anderson-Burris Funeral Home, Enid.
Bill was born on December 20, 1930, in Crawford, Oklahoma, to Charley and Josie (Logan) Davis and died on June 24, 2011, in Enid. He grew up in Crawford, Oklahoma. He went to college at Southwestern Oklahoma State University, where he received his master’s degree. On May 2¸1974, he married Patricia Anne Ellis in Cheyenne, Oklahoma. Bill had a grocery store for 15 years. He was a teacher and guidance counselor for 27 1/2 years in the Enid Public Schools. Bill farmed and raised cattle for 38 years. He was a member of the Ames Church of Christ. He grew up in Crawford, Oklahoma. He went to college at Southwestern Oklahoma State University, where he received his master’s degree. On May 2¸1974, he married Patricia Anne Ellis in Cheyenne, Oklahoma.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Ernie and Floyd Davis; a grandson, Kolby; and a great-granddaughter, Haley. He is survived by his wife, Patricia of the home; son, Bobby Davis of Elk City, OK; daughter, Charline Davis Beebe of Rose Hill, Kansas; three grandchildren, Lisa Mashnouk, Wichita, KS, Lori Steiner, Andover, KS, Schalie Johnson, Kansas City, MO; six great-grandchildren, Kobi and Kori Mashnouk, Hayden, Jack and Ganon Steiner, and Claire Lankford; brother, Lavon Davis, Forest Grove, Oregon; mother-in-law, Anna Belle Ellis; many special nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made through the funeral home to The Tipton Home.

ENID — A celebration of life for Patricia Ann Davis will be 2 p.m. Saturday, July 9, 2011, at Anderson - Burris Funeral Home Chapel with John Sheffield officiating. Burial will follow in Ames Cemetery under the direction of Anderson - Burris Funeral Home.
Pat died Wednesday, July 6, 2011, at the age of 68. While her father was fighting in WWII, Pat was born on June 21, 1943, on her grandparents farm in Noble County, Okla. Her parents are Monroe Jackson and Anna Belle (Mittasch) Ellis. She grew up in Oklahoma City, Okla., and graduated from Putnam City High School.
Pat received her bachelor of science in education from Oklahoma State University and her American Library Association's Certified Master's of Library and Information Science from the University of Oklahoma.
Pat and Bill Davis were married May 2, 1974. They lived in Ames, Okla., among many loving and helpful friends. Pat moved to Enid in 1970 and became the Enid High School Library Media Specialist. She remained the librarian there for 41 years until she retired in May 2011. She successfully reached her professional and personal goal of always serving the administrators, teachers, students and librarians with whom she worked. She was proud of her students and saw many of them come back to Enid High School as teachers. Many of the nurses and aides who recently took care of Pat were also her students.
Pat often spoke of when her granddaughters came to the farm. She always cherished those moments in her life.
Pat was preceded in death by husband, Bill, who died June 24, 2011; her father, Monroe Ellis; grandson, Kolby Davis; and great-granddaughter, Haley Vaughn.
She is survived by her mother, Anna Belle Ellis of Enid; stepdaughter, Charline Beebe and husband Jim of Rose Hill, Kan.; stepson, Bobby Davis and wife Janette of Elk City; three granddaughters, Lisa Mashnouk and husband Fadi, and their sons Kobi and Kori of Wichita, Kan., Lori Steiner and husband Scott and their children, Hayden, Jack and Ganon of Andover, Kan., and Schalie Johnson and husband Jeremiah of Kansas City, Mo. She also is survived by cousins, Janice and husband Larry Hansen, Bob and wife Betty Mittasch, Kenneth and wife Peggy Mittasch, Jerry and wife Tina Mittasch and Dennis and wife Glenda Mittasch.
Memorials may be made to Enid High School Library for the purchase of materials that will benefit the students and teachers.
