Celebration of life service for Rita Detrick, 75, Ames, is 10:00 a.m. Monday, June 6, at Faith Center in Meno, with burial at Ames Cemetery. Visitation is 2-4 Sunday, June 5, at Ladusau-Evans. Services directed by Ladusau-Evans.

A Celebration of Life for Rita Quin Detrick, age 75, of Ames, will be 10:00 am, Monday, June 6, 2022 at Faith Center in Meno, with Pastor Lyle Buller officiating. Burial will follow in Ames Cemetery under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00 pm on Sunday, June 5th at the funeral home.
Rita was born August 21, 1946 in Enid to Lloyd and Gayle (Olvey) Turner, and passed away on Wednesday, June 1, 2022. She graduated from Drummond High School in 1964 and immediately married Terry Detrick on October 16, 1964. This union brought three sons: Chad Garrett, Jason Bradley, and Wade Evan. While Rita spent a great deal of her life as an insurance agent for American Farmers and Ranchers/Oklahoma Farmers Union and as a church patron at Parker Chapel Christian Union Church, she will always be remembered best as a doting mother, grandmother, and farm wife.
Rita is survived by her husband Terry, son Chad and wife Jana of Yukon, son Brad and wife Amara of Ames, and son Wade and wife Tina of Ames. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren: Austin Detrick and wife Lindsey of Meno, Jesse Detrick of Tulsa, Cortlyn Detrick of Meno, Ben Detrick and wife Makaila of Edmond, Taylor Streck and husband Seth of Hennessey, Emma Detrick of Weatherford, Rylee and fiancé Chisholm Kliewer of Thomas, Reagan Detrick of Stillwater, Eva Willis of Ames, Kylee Detrick of Yukon, and Truett Willis of Ames. Rita had two great-grandchildren, Arabella and Jason Detrick of Edmond.
Memorial contributions in Rita's name may be made to Parker Chapel Christian Union Church with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
