The funeral for Mary Lu Rundle Bymaster, 77, of Ames, will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Ames Christian Church. The Rev Mickey Moery will officiate. Burial will follow in Ames Cemetery, Ames. Arrangements are by Henninger-Allen Funeral Home. Visitation with the family will be 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

She was born Aug. 5, 1929, near Covington, to Leo and Emma Rundle and died Saturday, Aug. 5, 2006, at Saint Francis Hospital in Tulsa. She lived in Ames her entire life. She graduated from Ames High School in 1948. She married Chester Bymaster Sept. 24, 1948.

Surviving are her husband, Chester, of the home; three sons, Rodney of Metamora, Mich., Craig of Ames and Jerry of Japan; one daughter, Cindy Snodgrass of Ames; one brother, Tommy; seven grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one sister.

Funeral service for Chester G. Bymaster, 85-year-old Ames resident, will be 10 a.m. Thursday, July 5, 2012, at Ames Christian Church. Viewing will be available until service time. Rev. Mickey Moery will officiate. Burial will follow in Ames Cemetery with military honors under the direction of Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home.

Chet was born April 12, 1927, on a farm near Meno to Elmer and Rosa Mae (Cokely) Bymaster and died Saturday, June 30, 2012, at Integris Bass Baptist Health Center. He attended Forrest Home School and graduated from Ames High School. He attended Forrest Home School and graduated from Ames High School. He enlisted in the United States Navy and served on the U.S.S. Sibney in the Pacific Theater of Operations during WWII.

On Sept. 24, 1948, Chet married Mary Lu Rundle. The couple made their home in Ames. He was a farmer throughout his working life.

Chet is survived by his sons, Rodney Bymaster, Craig Bymaster and wife Susan, and Jerry Bymaster and wife Terry; daughter, Cindy Snodgrass and husband Wayne; seven grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Also, one brother, Dimmick and two sisters, Willie and Leedy.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Lu in 2006, his parents and two brothers.
