The funeral service for Guida Norma Bingham will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 9, 2016 in the Ames Baptist Church with Pastor Bryan Laramore officiating. Burial will follow in Ames Cemetery under the direction of Henninger~Hinson Funeral Home. A visitation with family will be 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, April 8, 2016 at the funeral home.
Guida was born March 30, 1916 in Drummond to Kihe and Lila (Williams) Taylor and passed away April 5, 2016 in Enid. She attended rural schools and graduated from Drummond High in 1934.
Guida married Josh Bingham February 7, 1938 and the couple made the Ames area their home. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting and knitting.
Guida took pleasure working in her garden, canning and as a young woman singing in a quartet with her sisters. She was a member of the Iris Club, Good Cheer Home Demonstration Club and Ames Baptist Church, where she was always available to help with bereavement dinners.
Guida is survived by daughter, Valenda Mauck of Ames; son, Bill and his wife, Donna of Ames; grandchildren, William Robert Bingham and his wife, Pam of Enid; Deborah K. Delgado of Enid; Ronald Neil Bingham of Enid; Sheila D. Trotter and her husband, David of Ames; David Brian Bingham of Enid; Kevin Danial Bingham and his wife, Jennifer of Ames; Linda Hunter and her husband, Jeff of Ames; Susan Meloy and her husband, Russel of Hennessey; Garin Mauck and his wife, Deana of Hinton; fourteen great-grandchildren and sixteen great-great grandchildren; sisters, Verna Lee Jaeger of Yukon; Glenda Moore, Vada Gilbert and her husband, Leon all of Enid.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sister, Nadine Swart; brother, Willis Taylor; grandson, Larry Gene Mauck, Jr. and son-in-law, Larry Gene Mauck, Sr.
Memorials may be made to the Ames Volunteer Fire Department or the Ames Baptist Church with the funeral home acting as custodian of the fund.
