The funeral for Howard M. Ballard, 86 year-old Meno resident will be Friday, October 19, 2012 at 10:00AM in the Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Rick Milam and Rev. Mitchell Ballard will officiate. A private burial will be in Ames Cemetery at a later date. Howard was born September 20, 1926 in Oklahoma City to Simon and Annie(Tynan) Ballard and died Monday, October 15, 2012 in Integris Bass Health Center. The family moved to Ames, OK. when he was five. He attended local schools. After his junior year, he enlisted in the United States Army serving in the Pacific Theater of Operations. He remained in the National Guard for several years after his active service.
On April 16, 1950 he married Pauline Zipperle in Vernon, Texas. The couple made their first home in Enid where Howard worked as a plumber. He then owned and operated Ballard Plumbing in Southern California from the early 1960’s until 1969 when the couple returned to the Meno area.
He was a long-time member of Parker Chapel where he was also an Elder. He loved to play his guitar and ride his motorcycle. He was an avid outdoorsman.
He is survived by his wife Pauline of the home, sons Steve Ballard, and Ray Ballard and wife Dianna of Lahoma, daughter Linda Patterson and husband Grover,of Ames. 11 grandchildren ; Tamara, Randy, Chris, Sonya, Mitchell, Brett, Libby, Helen, Erica, Melody, and Tyler. He is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a son Earl Wayne, a granddaughter, Terry Ballard, one sister Gladys, and four brothers; Gene, J.C., Dennis, and Scott.
Memorial may be made through the funeral home to OMRF(Parkinson’s Division).

The funeral for Pauline E. Ballard, 87 year-old Meno resident, is 10:00 a.m. Friday, February 2, 2018, in the Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home Chapel, with Reverend Rick Milam officiating. A private burial follows in Ames Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home.
Pauline was born April 13, 1930, in Oakley Union, Texas, to Fritz and Alice (Phillips) Zipperle and died Monday, January, 29, 2018, at Integris Bass Baptist in Enid. She attended schools in Oakley Union, graduating with the class of 1948. She then attended Phillips University in Enid. On April 16, 1950, Pauline married Howard Ballard in Vernon, Texas. The couple made their first home in Enid. They moved to southern California in the early sixties, returning to the Meno area for good in the mid-seventies. She was a long-time member of Parker Union Church. She enjoyed playing music with her husband.
Pauline is survived by her sons, Steve Ballard of Meno and Ray Ballard and wife, Dianna, also of Meno; her daughter, Linda Patterson and husband, Grover of Ames; eleven grandchildren, Tamara; Randy; Chris; Sonya; Mitchell; Brett; Libby; Helen; Erica; Melody; and Tyler; numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins. She is also survived by her brother, Carl Zepperle and sister, Alice Hart.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Howard; son, Wayne; granddaughter, Terry; two brothers and a sister.
