Services for Nelda Lee Russell Wood, 67, of Clatskanie, Oregon, will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, December 21, at the Rubottom Baptist Church, Rubottom, with the Rev. Don Clark officiating.

Interment will be in the Rubottom Cemetery.

Born July 24, 1940, at Burneyville, the daughter of John Allen and Ida Cartwright Russell, she died Thursday, December 13, 2007, in Longview, Washington. Born and raised in Love County, Mrs. Wood had been a resident of Oregon for the past 25 years. She married Robert Lee Wood. A homemaker, Mrs. Wood canned tuna for her family and enjoyed making ceramics. She also collected Coca-Cola memorabilia and dolls. Mrs. Wood was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include her husband, Robert Lee Wood of the home; mother, Ida Auld of Rubottom; a son and daughter-in-law, Bobby Dewayne and Betty Choate of Rainier, Oregon; three daughters and son-in-law, Brenda and Keith Kelly of Grenada, Mississippi, Debbie Norris of Devils Lake, North Dakota, and Karla Workman of Hailey, Idaho; five brothers and sisters-in-law, Ray and Barbara Russell of Thackerville, Larry and Lynn Russell of Claremore, Keith and Mary Isbell of Thackerville, W.A. and Sue Auld of Rubottom, and Allen and Trina Russell of Marietta; four sisters and brother-in-law, Barbara and Don Harris of Burneyville, Joanie Raulston of Jones, Janie Shawver of Del City, and Kay Cole of Rubottom; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews, and a special friend, Patty Blaney of Rainier.

She was preceded in death by her father, John Allen “Bud” Russell; two brothers, Teddy Joe Russell and Mike Russell; and a granddaughter, Angie Lane.

Pallbearers were her nephews, Ricky Harris, J.D. Harris, Michael Cole, Dewayne Russell, Keith Isbell Jr. and Alex Russell. Honorary pallbearers were her nieces.

A scheduled visitation will be held from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday, December 20, at Flanagan-Watts Funeral Home.
