Mildred Alene Lyons was born September 5, 1923, in Pike, OK to Daily Frank and Beaulah Bell (Black) Wallace. She passed away Friday, February 7, 2025, in Ardmore, OK at the age of 101.

Alene spent most of her life in Oklahoma, specifically Love County, and graduated from Orr High School in 1941.

Alene was raised in a large family during the Great Depression and learned how to do everything needed to survive at a very young age. She knew how to stretch a dollar to the max because that is what she had to do with her family. Alene learned to sew and continued doing that throughout her entire lifetime. Some said it was a hobby, but she learned to turn it into a passion and livelihood. She would often make clothes for her sons and their families with whatever material she had available. She also loved working with ceramics and was a devoted member of the Baptist faith.

Alene was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, John Wallace, Dewey Wallace, Edgar Wallace, and Gene Wallace; and sisters, Irene Hartman, Peggy Parker, Judy Delaney, and Glenda Hood.

Those left to cherish Alene's memory are her sons, Keith Lyons and wife Shirley of Broken Bow, OK, Dale Lyons and fiancée Sheila Pierce of Rubottom, and Keith Isbell and wife Mary of Thackerville, OK; grandchildren, Angie Dzama and husband Charles of Laguna, CA, Shawn Lyons of Broken Bow, Gayla Harris of Little Elm, TX, Larry Lyons and wife Kristi of Nocona, TX; Curt Lyons of Lone Grove, OK, Christy Hilton and husband Lynn of Aubrey, TX, and Keith Isbell, Jr. and wife Kristy of Collinsville, TX; 13 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; brothers, Jerry Wallace and wife Virginia of Waurika, OK and Geary Wallace of San Antonio, TX; and numerous extended family members.

Alene was blessed with over 100 years of life, and a celebration of her life will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday, February 11, at the Flanagan-Watts Funeral Home Chapel with Keith Lyons and Charles Dzama officiating.

Interment will follow at the Rubottom Cemetery.

Visitation will be held on Monday, from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M., at the Flanagan-Watts Funeral Home in Marietta.

Serving as casket bearers will be Kevin Wallace, Scott Wallace, David Parker, Keith Isbell, Jr., Johnathan Bolton, and Ryan Parker.
