Born January 28, 1909, in Rubottom, Mrs. Ivins died September 18, 1992, in the Love County Health Center, Marietta.
She was the daughter of Johnny and Minnie Rubottom Hogue. A homemaker most of her life, Mrs. Ivins had made her home in Ringling and in Love County. She married George Ivins November 8, 1925, at Courtney. Mrs. Ivins was a member of Eastside Baptist Church.
Survivors include three sons, Melvin Ivins of Ringling, Otis Ivins of Jimtown, and G.W. Ivins of Watauga, Texas; two daughters, Hattie Welch of Marietta and Helen Hartman of Lindale, Texas; four sisters, Johnnie Rogers of Buckeye, Arizona, Yuvonne Hart of Sand Springs, Louise Forkner of Marietta, and Lorene Ellison of Plains, Texas; 21 grandchildren and 40 great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Ivins was preceded in death by her husband on October 17, 1970.
Interment was in the Rubottom Cemetery under the direction of the Anderson-Kennedy Funeral home.
Grandsons served as casket bearers.
