Interment followed in the Rubottom Cemetery.
Born May 5, 1929 at Rubottom, the youngest of nine children of William Daniel Forkner and Minnie Viola Rubottom, she died Sunday, June 12, 2011 in the Lake Country Nursing Center, Marietta.
Ms. Forkner had been a resident of Love County most of her life and was employed for many years as a bookkeeper for the Red River Valley Rural Electric Association. A dedicated employee, Ms. Forkner truly loved her job. After retiring, she enjoyed working in her yard. Ms. Forkner was a member of Marietta’s First Baptist Church.
Preceding her in death were her parents and several brothers and sisters.
She is survived by a daughter, Deborah Craig of Ardmore; a sister, Betty Yvonne Hart of Sand Springs; many nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
Serving as pallbearers were family and friends. Honorary bearers were Ron Jacobs, Rocky Bearden, Ricky Bearden, Bill Wolfe, David Kerr, Ronnie Brown, Bobby Barnes, Steve Garrett and Bill Hart.
