Interment followed in the Rubottom Cemetery.
Born February 6, 1931 at Dixie, the daughter of Sherman Hailey and Eula Mae Huff Grant, she died Saturday, September 2, 2017 in Purcell. Marie married Charlie “Mack” McCrory Dewbre on June 15, 1946 in Gainesville, Texas. He preceded her in death on September 7, 1993. Marie enjoyed quilting, reading, dancing, and spending time with her family. She retired as a clerk from the ASCS office. Marie was a member of the Rubottom Baptist Church as also attended the Ravia Baptist Church.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Harvey Grant; and sisters, Nelda Grant and Glenda Vinson.
Survivors include her children, Jerry Dewbre and wife Terri of Corpus Christi, Texas, Patricia Dewbre of Mead, Richard Dewbre and wife Diane of Purcell, Tim Dewbre and wife Lynn of Pampa, Texas, and Ken Dewbre of Tishomingo; three brothers, Cotton, Hack and Darrell Grant; sister, Lana Ball; 16 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and numerous other family and friends.
Serving as pallbearers were Greg Grant, John Grant, Chris Grant, Kevin Grant, Alex Vinson and Todd Collett. Honorary bearers were Ryan Dewbre, Shaun Dewbre, Bobby Dewbre, Eddie Dewbre, Tim Dewbre, Kyle Dewbre and Beau Dewbre.
