Services for Rev. Noah Hampton Woodruff, 80, were at 11:00 a.m. Monday in the Christian Heritage Pentecostal Holiness Church, Yukon. Officiating was Rev. C.E. Means, retired conference superintendent.
Rev. Woodruff was born March 24, 1912, in Pottawatomie County and died July 26, 1992. He was the son of George Gray and Lula Blevins Woodruff. Rev. Woodruff married Maggie Ellen HIlton on June 10, 1929, at Marietta.
A minister to Pentecostal Holiness Churches in the Oklahoma Conference, Rev. Woodruff pastored 11 churches in Oklahoma and one in Arkansas before retiring in 1974. He had been a resident of Marietta before moving to Ardmore in 1981.
Survivors include his wife, Maggie Ellen Woodruff of the home; a son, Delmas Lynn Woodruff of Yukon; a daughter, Charlene Sproul of Yukon; a sister, Nellie Godwin of McLoud; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Services were under the direction of Harvey Douglas Funeral Home, Ardmore. Serving as bearers were Rev. Walter Honeywell, Rev. James MacDowell, Rex Davis, Michael Scot Sproul, Larry Ellis and Raymond Webster. Interment was in the Yukon Cemetery.
