Graveside services for Lillie A. Woodard, 97, of Marietta, were held at 2 p.m., Thursday, March 20, at Lakeview Cemetery, Marietta, with Rob Peyrot officiating.
Mrs. Woodard was born November 22, 1905, in Tennessee, the daughter of Wylie and Tollie Brundiage. She died Wednesday, March 19, 2003, in Mercy Health Love County Hospital, Marietta.
She had been a resident of Love County for the past 35 years. Mrs. Woodard was a homemaker and had also worked inthe laundry business. She was a member of Thackerville First Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sons, John Newsome of Thackerville and Roger Newsome of Phoenix, Arizona; eight grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Woodard was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands, Charles D. Newsome and Buford Woodard; and a brother.
Services were under the direction of Flanagan-Watts Funeral Home, Marietta.
