Graveside services for Doris Wicker, 77, of Gainesville, Texas, were held at 10 a.m., Friday, October 8, in Lakeview Cemetery, Marietta.

Mrs. Wicker was born September 7, 1927, at Wynnewood, the daughter of James and Thelma Dunn Buffington. She died Tuesday, October 5, 2004, in the Gainesville Convalescent Center.

She and John C. Wicker were married March 2, 1946, at Marietta, and he preceded her in death in 1996.

Survivors include two sons and daughter-in-law, John and Shirley Wicker of Gainesville, and Jim Wicker of Irving, Texas; a daughter and son-in-law, Lorie and Jim Cartwright of Valley View, Texas; eight grandchildren and three great-grand-children; and two brothers and sisters-in-law, Bob and Pat Buffington of Valley View, and James and Gladys Buffington of Carlsbad, New Mexico.

Mrs. Wicker was also preceded in death by her parents; and a son, Jerry Wicker in 1987.

Services were under the direction of Clement-Keel Funeral Home, Gainesville.
