Services for Ester Olivia Thompson of Rubottom were Monday at 2:30 p.m. in the Rubottom Baptist Church. Officiating was Rev. James Evans.

Born December 28, 1897, in Parker County, Texas, Mrs. Thompson died October 2, 1992, in the Love County Health Center, Marietta, at the age of 94. She was the daughter of Henry and Ida Howell Dennis.

Mrs. Thompson had lived in Love County since 1915. She was a member of the Rubottom Baptist Church and was active many years in the Brushy Mound Extension Club. She married O.K. Thompson, Sr. December 23, 1915, at Wichita Falls, Texas.

Survivors include two sons and daughter-in-law, Knox and Patty Thompson of Rubottom and Dennis Thompson of Long Beach, California; two sisters, Juanita Thompson of Electra, Texas, and Ada Clarida of Lyford, Texas; seven grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Thompson was preceded in death by her husband on July 8, 1969; two daughters, Aline Thompson in 1966 and Maxine Patty in 1981; a great-grandson, Joe Keith Thompson in February 1992; and several brothers and sisters.

Interment was in the Orr Cemetery under the direction of the Anderson-Kennedy Funeral Home. Great-grandsons served as casket bearers.
