Services for Charlotte Tulip Tanner, 56, of Burneyvile, were held at 1 p.m., Monday, May 17, at Burneyville Baptist Church with the Rev. Mark Gunnels officiating.

Mrs. Tanner was born January 2, 1948, in Amsterdam, Holland. She died Friday, May 14, 2004, in Mercy Memorial Health Center, Ardmore.

A resident of Love County for the past 12 years, Mrs. Tanner was a foster parent. She and Russell Tanner were married January 12, 1986, in Euless, Texas. Mrs. Tanner proudly became a U.S. citizen on September 14, 2001. She was a member of the Burneyville Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Russell Tanner of the home; five sons, Richard Sosa of the home, Andrew Kuipers of London, England, and Jason Tanner, Levi Tanner and Zachary Trumble, all of the home; three daughters, Gillian Roberts of Ft. Walton Beach, Florida, Helen Tosti of Orlando, Florida, and Tessa Tanner of Augusta, Georgia; a sister, Joke' Heystants of the Netherlands; two grandsons and two grand-daughters.

Mrs. Tanner was preceded in death by her parents; six brothers and two stillborn children.

Pallbearers were Jr. Anderson, James Ortiz, Jeremy Groner, Steve Evans, Jim Hertzler and Bruce Brunk. Honorary pallbearer was Michael Hicks.

Interment was in the Burneyville Cemetery, under the direction of Flanagan-Watts Funeral Home, Marietta.
