Services for W.B. "Bill" Smith, 90, of Leon, were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 26, in the Flanagan-Watts Funeral Home Chapel, Marietta, with the Rev. Dwight Hawkins and the Rev. Jim May officiating.

Mr. Smith was born September 23, 1911, in Sivells Bend, Texas, the son of William Franklin and Rebecca Caroline Hartless Smith. He died Sunday, March 24, 2002, in the Duncan Care Center, Duncan.

Mr. Smtih had been a resident of Love County most of his life, having moved to the Leon/Jimtown area at an early age. He and Florence McBride were married March 10, 1942, at Leon. A farmer and rancher, Mr. Smith was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include his wife, Florence Smith of the home; two sisters, Quetha June Ivens of Fort Worth, Texas, and Ruby Estelle Power of Marietta; several nieces and nephews; and several great-nieces and nephews.

Mr. Smith was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Robert Lee Smith, George Riley Smith and Andrew Jefferson Smith; and a sister, Betty Jean Hall.

Pallbearers were Willie L. "Bill" Smith, James "Bud" Smith, Frankie "Luke" Hall, Bobby Collins, Ricky Johnson and Gene Addington. Honorary pallbearers were Badger McBride, Dude Powell, Clyde Rhoades, Tuffy McBride, Loyal Whatley, Glenis Hartman and Jimmy Lou Hall.

Interment was in the Jimtown Cemetery, Jimtown, under the direction of Flanagan-Watts Funeral Home, Marietta.
