Services for Thomas Donald Smith were conducted Sunday at 3:00 p.m. in the Falconhead Fellowship Chapel. Officiating was Rev. Rick Sowell, pastor of the Eastman Baptist Church.
Born July 8, 1928, in Waco, Texas, Mr. Smith died September 11, 1992, in the Love County Health Center, Marietta, at the age of 64. He was the son of Thomas and Cleo Bell Smith.
Mr. Smith had lived at Falconhead for about a year, moving from Irving, Texas, where he had lived for 25 years. He was a retired truck driver and a member of the Teamsters Local #745. Mr. Smith was a Mason and a Shriner for over 20 years. He and the former Sue Alexander were married October 30, 1979, in Wichita, Kansas.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Sue Smith of the home; three sons, Robert Buenting of Arlington, Texas; and Brian Smith and David Smith of the home; and a daughter, Tina Smith of the home.
Services were under the direction of the Anderson-Kennedy Funeral Home with interment in the Burneyville Cemetery. Pallbearers were Brad Culwell, Bill Sparks, John Hutchinson, Joe Tillery, Billy Leggett, and Gerald Yarbrough.
