Morgan Colt Mahurin Sanders Obit

Services for Morgan Colt Mahurin Sandres, 8, of Gainesville, Texas, were held at 2 p.m., Thursday, October 11, at Grand Avenue Baptist Church, with the Rev. Jimmy Davis officiating.

Morgan was born February 20, 1993, in Gainesville. He died October 6, 2001. Morgan was a third-grader at Chalmers Elementary School.

Surivors include his parents, Cheri Lynn Mahurin of Gainesville and Cameron Royal and Gina Sanders of Thackerville; his stepfather, Martin McClain of Collinsville, Texas; two sisters, Ashley McClain of Gainesville and Abigail Ellis of Thackerville; two brothers, Matthew and Christopher Ellis of Thackerville; his grandparents, Deborah Reid and Greg Lowry of Gainesville, Lynne and Reed Sanders of Callisburg, Carolyn and Marvin McClain of Gunter, Texas, Janie and Jerry Grady of Sherman, Texas and David Morton of Marietta; his great-grandparents, Dale Lowry of Gainesville and Lujuana and Johnny Crawford of Callisburg; his great-great-grandmother, Juanita Wall of Colbert; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Morgan was preceded in death by his great-grandmother, Lawanda Sue Wall; and great-grandfather, John Reid.

Interment was in Callisburg Cemetery under the direction of Clement-Keel Funeral Home, Gainesville.
