Services for Kenneth Glean "Smokey" Stofel, 63, of Leon, were held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, July 3, at the Marietta Pentecostal Holiness Church, with Raymond Self officiating.
Mr. Stofel was born August 2, 1937, at Leon, the son of Elmore K. and Georgia Brewer Stofel. He died Friday, June 29, 2001, at his residence at Leon.
A lifelong resident of Love County, he attended school at Leon and retired from Marietta Sportswear Manufacturing Company. Mr. Stofel was of the Protestant faith.
Survivors include two sons and a daughter-in-law, Mike Stofel and Jason and Amy Stofel of Columbus, Ohio; a daughter and son-in-law, Becky and Dale Seibert of Spencerville, Ohio; four brothers, Johnny Stofel of Kingston, Mack Stofel of Leon, Wes Stofel of Marietta and Eddie Stofel of Andrews, Texas; three sisters, Ann Flatt of Marietta, Mary Stonebarger of Howe, Texas, and Reba Taylor of Ringling; and a granddaughter, Sarah Seibert of Spencerville.
Mr. Stofel was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Clint Stofel, Charles Stofel and Jimmy Stofel; and two nephews, Jeff Stofel and Steven Taylor.
Pallbearers were nephews, Daniel Taylor, Doug Taylor, Danny Flatt, Carol Flatt, Chris Stofel and Gene Stofel. Honorary pallbearers were Fred Ramsey, Leonard Spade and David Davis.
Interment was in Leon Cemetery under the direction of Flanagan-Watts Funeral Home, Marietta.
