No services are scheduled for Ethel Mae Schiefelbein, 65, of Falconhead.

Mrs. Schiefelbein was born August 12, 1937, in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of Samuel and Margaret Gerstung Newman. She died Wednesday, January 22, 2003, in Mercy Memorial Health Center, Ardmore.

Mrs. Schiefelbein had been a resident of Falconhead for the past 10 years, moving here from Evergreen Park, Illinois. She and Edward Henry Schiefelbein were married May 10, 1986, in Maywood, Illinois, and he preceded her in death on January 16, 2003. Mrs. Schiefelbein was employed as a receptionist for McNeil Hospital before retiring. She was of the Catholic faith.

Survivors include her mother, Margaret Newman of Caulfield, Missouri; a son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Deborah Jans of Lockport, Illionois; a daughter, Margaret L. Govea of Berwyn, Illinois; a brother, Richard Newman of Lockport; two sisters, Carol Loggins of Falconhead and Betty Arvilla of Bay St. Louis, Mississippi; and two grandchildren.

Mrs. Schiefelbein as also preceded in death by her father.

Arrangements were under the direction of Flanagan-Watts Funeral Home, Marietta.
