Services for Sylvia LaVone Roe, 77, of Dallas, were held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, July 14, at Jaynes Memorial Chapel in Duncanville, Texas.
Mrs. Roe was born February 23, 1926, in Marietta, and died Wednesday, July 9, 2003.
She worked for World Missionary Evangelism and various real estate firms.
Survivors include a daughter, Dianne Dahl of Nolanville, Texas; four grandchildren, Angela McCoy, Joel Ray and Jennifer and Michael Roe; two step-grandchildren, Megan and Chris Dahl; six great-grandchildren, Brandon and Koby Beck, Kaleb and Alex McCoy and Austin and Wesley Roe; four step-great-grandchildren, Colette Dahl, Alexandria, Tabitha and Eric McCoy; and two brothers, Warren and Vernon Griffin, both of Marietta.
Mrs. Roe was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Benjamin Wesley Roe on December 11, 2001; and a son, Johnny Wayne Roe on April 6, 2003.
Interment was in Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, Dallas, under the direction of Jaynes Memorial Chapel, Duncanville.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, Cystinosis Foundation, Increasing Faith Church or the charity of your choice.
