Services for Pearl O. Reeves, 88, were at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in the Chapel of the Anderson-Kennedy Funeral Home. Officiating was Rev. Rick Soewll, minister of the Eastman Baptist Church.
Mrs. Reeves was born August 9, 1905, in Montague County, Texas, the daughter of Andrew Jackson and Mary Ann Whisenhunt Harper, and died August 22, 1993, at her home in Wilson.
A resident of Love County most of her life, Mrs. Reeves had lived in Wilson since February 1991. She married Ervin Reeves on December 17, 1932, in Marietta, and he preceded her in death on June 4, 1975. Mrs. Reeves was a member of the Eastman Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sons, William “Buster” Burnett of Lindsay and Clifford Burnett of Wilson; a daughter, Fonnie Walker of Wilson; two sisters, Dovie Treadwell of Marietta and Jule McClendon of Ardmore; 11 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
Services were under the direction of the Anderson-Kennedy Funeral Home with interment in the Burneyville Cemetery. Pallbearers were R. A. Harper, Joe Colston, Mackie White, Kenneth Gillaspy, Altus Gillaspy and C. E. Treadwell.
