Services for Fred Robertson, 87, of Marietta, were held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, April 1, in the First United Methodist Church, Marietta, with the Rev. Tony Caro officiating.
Mr. Robertson was born December 21, 1915, in Gainesville, Texas, the son of Arch and Mamie M. King Robertson. He died Thursday, March 27, 2003, in Southwestern Medical Center, Lawton.
A resident of Love County most of his life, Mr. Robertson was a rancher and also worked at Robertson's Hams for several years before retiring. He and Miriam Mobley were married November 14, 1936, in Marietta. Mr. Robertson was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Marietta.
Survivors include his wife, Miriam Robertson of the home; two sons and daughter-in-law, Denny Robertson of the home and Archie and Jane Robertson of Wichita Falls, Texas; two daughters and sons-in-law, Sylvia and Gail Varner of Walters and Becky and Hank Kittrell of Ardmore; two brothers, V.B. "Tup" Robertson and Gene Robertson of Marietta; a sister, Mary Beeler of Marietta; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Mr. Robertson was preceded in death by his parents; five brothers, Bill Robertson, John Robertson, Archie Robertson, Pope Robertson and infant Alvin Robertson; and a sister, Dorothy London.
Serving as pallbearers were four grandsons, Pat Varner, Tim Robertson, Terry Taylor and Jeff Condiff, along with Kent Shankles and Hank Kittrell.
Interment was in the Lakeview Cemetery, Marietta, under the direction of Flanagan-Watts Funeral Home, Marietta.
