Graveside services for Wanda Alice Starritt Pitts, 68, of Oklahoma City, were
held at 12 p.m. Monday, July 17, at Lakeview Cemetery in Marietta.
Mrs. Pitts was born November 1, 1931, in Marietta, the daughter of Tom and
Velma Starritt. She died Friday, July 14, 2000 in Oklahoma City.
She and her family moved to Tucumcari, New Mexico, when she was 15 years old.
After moving to Oklahoma City, she received her bachelor's degree in accounting
from the University of Central Oklahoma in 1980 and worked for Atkinson
Enterprises as their bookkeeper for 30 years. Mrs. Pitts was a member of the
Eastside Church of Christ in Oklahoma City.
Survivors include her husband, Ray Pitts of the home; three sons and daughters-
in-law, Tom Jackson, Jack and Patti Jackson, all of Oklahoma City, and Chase
and Karen Burris of Norman; one daughter and son-in-law, Marsha and Van Daggs
of Oklahoma City; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one brother
and sister-in-law, Thomas Vandon and Karen Starritt of Pagosa Springs,
Colorado; one sister and brother-in-law, Jane and Neil Binford of Longview,
Texas; four neices and three nephews.
Mrs. Pitts was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Edward Burris.
Services were under the direction of Bill Eisenhour Funeral Home, Del City.
