Services for Vida M. Peterman, 77, of Oklahoma City, were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, January 29, in The Chapel of Resthaven Funeral Home, Oklahoma City, with Pastor John Cowns officiating.

Mrs. Peterman was born July 9, 1925, in Leon, the daughter of Walter and Vida Wright Coble. She died Monday, January 27, 2003, at Integris Southwest Medical Center, Oklahoma City.

She moved to the South Oklahoma City area in the late 1940's from Fort Worth, Texas, where she met and married Billy Leon Peterman on May 15, 1947. Mrs. Peterman was known as "Boots" to family and friends and made a career as a pharmacy clerk that spanned over 25 years before retiring in 1993 from Rx Pharmacy. She was a member of the Central Hillcrest Baptist Church and the Order of the Eastern Star.

Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Mary and Leroy Rinehart of Oklahoma City; a son and daughter-in-law, Billy and Teresa Peterman of Oklahoma City; four grandchildren, Mark Rinehart and his wife Carla, Heather Peterman, Brandon Peterman and Cara Peterman; two great-grandchildren, Kyler and Emylie Rinehart; a sister, Iowa Denton of Beaumont, Texas; and two brothers, Fletcher Coble of Marietta and Buddy Coble of Sherman, Texas.

Mrs. Peterman was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Billy Leon Peterman on June 14, 1993; one sister and two brothers.

Interment was in the Resthaven Memory Gardens, Oklahoma City, under the direction of Resthaven Funeral Home, Oklahoma City.
