Services for Thalia B. Porter were November 20 in the Trinity Baptist Church, Ardmore, conducted by Rev. Terry Tolbert.
Mrs. Porter, daughter of the late William Herbert and Gracie Phillips Mayfield Hill, was born December 23, 1917, at Marietta. A member of the Trinity Baptist Church, she was retired from the Stromberg-Carlson Manufacturing Company. An avid gardener, Mrs. Porter loved working with her flowers.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Dana and Charles Dabbert of Ardmore; two grandchildren, Jana and her husband, Doug Jones of Arlington, Texas, and Dr. Brad Dabbert and his wife, Marla, of Lubbock, Texas; a sister and brother-in-law, Wilda and Jim Taliaferro of Lone Grove; four great-grandchildren, Madeline Dabbert, and Graham, Audra and Olivia Jones; two sisters-in-law, Florine Hill of Marietta and Edna Hill of Lawton; and several nieces and nephews.
Services were under the direction of Harvey-Douglas Funeral Home with interment in Lakeview Cemetery. Casket bearers were Brandon Dalrymple, Larry King Martin, Joe Pete Martin, Billy Hill, Jimmy Hill and James "Bunky" Mayes. Honorary bearers included George Lowe, Gene Conway, Little Bud Hill and Bill Mitchell.
Memorials may be made to the Gideons or the Baptist Children's Home, Madill.
