Services for Wanda Joy McAfee of Thackerville were Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. in the Kennedy Funeral Home Chapel. Officiating was Billy Strong.
Born April 6, 1945, at Wink, Texas, the daughter of Frank and Barbara Posey Johnson, Mrs. McAfee died December 26, 1999, in Mercy Health Love County, Marietta, at the age of 54.
Mrs. McAfee was a homemaker and had lived in Thackerville for the past 11 years. She was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include her husband, Perry Foster of the home; a son and daughter-in-law, Paul and Michelle Shero of Gainesville, Texas; three daughters and sons-in-law, Mary and Billy Strong of Haltom City, Texas, Donnia Brown of Azle, Texas, and Tammy and Johnny Solesbee of the home; two brothers, David Johnson and Doug Johnson of Whitesboro, Texas; two sisters, Carolyn Skaggs of Callisburg, Texas, and Jo Chapman of Gainesville; and eight grandchildren.
Services were under the direction of Kennedy Funeral Home with interment in Mt. Zion Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers were Christopher Shero, Billy Strong, Brett Foster, Damon Foster, Larry Foster and Eddie Skaggs.
