Graveside services for Mable M. McLaughlin, 85, of Gainesville, Texas, were held at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 29, in Fairview Cemetery, with Lyndon Lee officiating.
Mrs. McLaughlin was born March 18, 1916, in Whitesboro, Texas, the daughter of Porter and Nannie Morgan Buchanan. She died Tuesday, March 27, 2001, at Gainesville Memorial Hospital.
She and Willis LeRoy "Bear" McLaughlin were married September 3, 1937, in Thackerville, and he preceded her in death on May 29, 1989. Mrs. McLaughlin was a homemaker and a former longtime resident of Thackerville.
Survivors include four sons and daughters-in-law, LeRoy and Walsie McLaughlin of Gainesville, Dwight and Marsha McLaughlin of Slidell, Texas, Gary and Sherry McLaughlin of Valley View, Texas, and Greg and Dawn McLaughlin of McAlester; three daughters and sons-in-law, Brenda and Bobby Dean of Marietta, Cyndy and Fred Green of Burneyville, and Debra and Steve Dedek of Gainesville; 21 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Services were under the direction of George J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home, Gainesville.
